“How much to line my lagoon?” is the most common question we get — and the honest answer is it depends, but on a short, predictable list of factors. Here’s what moves the number so you can budget realistically.
1. Liner type & thickness
HDPE geomembrane is the standard for lagoons, and thickness (1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 mm) is the biggest single driver. See our liner thickness guide.
2. Total area (m²)
Lining is priced per square metre, and the rate drops as area grows — mobilisation and setup get spread over more m².
3. Sub-grade preparation
A smooth, compacted base welds and lasts better. Rocky or sharp ground may need a geotextile cushion layer — added cost, but it protects the liner.
4. Anchoring & detailing
Anchor trenches, pipe penetrations, sumps and corners add labour.
5. Installation, welding & testing
Supply-only is cheaper up front, but a liner is only as good as its seams. We supply and install with our own crew and test every weld — so the risk isn’t left with you.
6. Location
Site access and emirate affect logistics — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the UAE.
The fastest way to a real number: send us the area (m²), what you’re storing, and the site location, and we’ll quote supply + installation within 24 hours. Request a lagoon quote →
